Insurgent - How Would The UK Look In A Post Apocalyptic Dystopia

Is this what the future could look like?

To celebrate the release of Insurgent on Blu-ray and DVD on 3rd August, we thought it would be interesting to look at just how some of the UK's most beloved cities would look in a post apocalyptic dystopia. Insurgent is based on the second book of the Divergent trilogy written by Veronica Roth, and sequel to the 2014 film of the same name. The trilogy itself is set in a post apocalyptic Chicago, which has been rendered as a dystopian society where people are denied the right to make their own choices and shape their own destiny through the exercising of their free will. Ignoring the natural desire towards self progressions and the will to succeed, the citizens within the city are categorised and placed within 1 of 5 separate factions, with allocation decided on intellect and values. These factions are; Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), Erudite (the intelligent), Abnegation (the selfless), and Candor (the honest. The story picks up where Divergent left off. With everyone clambering for power and answers, the faction system is disintegrating. Tris, formerly Beatrice Prior, a former Abnegation member who is now assigned to Dauntless, along with Four, Peter, and Caleb, are looking to flea to faction-less territory. For the answers being sought Divergents are being tracked down to open a box which is thought to contain information passed on by the city's founders. To celebrate the launch of the Insurgent on Blu-ray and DVD on 3rd August, we thought it would be fun to look at just how some of the UK's most beloved cities would look in a post apocalyptic dystopia.
