Is Spider-Man's Costume In Captain America: Civil War Really A Hoodie?

You have to hope not.

With the impending release of Captain America: Civil War, all eyes are on Spider-Man's inclusion in the film. Excitement is high as to what form the MCU Spider-Man will take and, as the movie inches closer, fans are desperate to see what his iconic costume will look like in the film. Or even obscure clues it seems - images of a clothing company's new Spider-Man hoodie hit the net recently, setting tongues wagging. Now comes official word from the company responsible, Merchoid, who have confirmed that Marvel had a hand in helping to design the hoodie, leading to speculation that the garment is indeed representative of what Peter Parker (Tom Holland) will be sporting in the Cap threequel. Merchoid's community manager released the following statement:
€œMarvel is doing a fantastic job of keeping the new Spider-man costume under wraps, so we haven€™t yet seen it! What we can say is this hoodie was designed in partnership with Marvel, who provided all the design elements from their 2016 merchandise range, including the €˜messy€™ webbing which we haven€™t yet seen in any prior Spider-man costume."
Now it's entirely possible that the reason Marvel have stuck their neck into the design stage of this random hoodie is because they want it to accurately represent the costume that'll be glimpsed in Civil War, but I'd rather it not be the case; the 'messy' web design isn't great, nor is the idea of Spidey wearing a hoodie into combat. It's just not cricket. But, fashion is subjective, so it'll be up to each individual viewer in the end - no doubt it'll 'work' for some more than others. Fingers crossed this is just a hoodie "inspired" by his movie costume though. Take a look at additional pics of the hoodie below!

Captain America: Civil War is released in the UK on 29th April 2016 and in the US on 6th May.
