“The name’s Bond, James Bond.” Those five little words evoke all kinds of feelings for so many people all over the world. James Bond is one of the most iconic characters in the history of film, of course, and the series is the longest running movie franchise in the history of the industry, too. The last movie in the series, starring Daniel Craig as the eponymous British spy, marked – quite incredibly – the 23rd entry in the series.

Bond movies are unique in that they almost have to tick items off of a checklist to ensure that the fans get to see everything they want to see: Crazy gadgets, beautiful women and – most importantly – a slick and sophisticated opening credits sequence. The best opening credit sequences reflect the inner character of the British nation’s favourite secret agent, and should be smart, sexy, inclusive of great music.

To celebrate the pantheon of great Bond title sequences this far, then, here are 10 which we believe showcase some of the franchise’s best work…
