James Cameron has THE DIVE on his mind?

His next and much smaller 3-D project revealed?

For the second time in just over a month, directing genius James Cameron has reiterated the fact that he wants to direct a smaller movie after he is done with his massive three year plus project Avatar.

Can't blame him - too many projects like Avatar can make you old very quickly! From The Hollywood Reporter...
On the director's sonar is "The Dive," a true story about the romance between controversial Cuban free diver Francisco "Pipin" Ferreras and Frenchwoman Audrey Mestre. Under his guidance, Mestre became a free diver who broke several world records but died in 2002 while competing. (Free-diving competitors must hold their breath for long periods of time while deep under water.)
This guy is obsessed with water ain't he, do you think he feels like a frustrated fish? Last month Cameron said similar sentiments to Variety letting people know that he intended to direct a small 3-D movie next and that drama's like Atonement if done in this format can be just as thrilling and exciting as big budget summer tentpoles. An interesting idea and I can see what he means but I need to see it in practice before I'm convinced. Just like I said last month... as long as he keeps working!
