Walk the Line and 3:10 to Yuma director James Mangold is the latest high profile filmmaker to strike a deal for a time travel movie.

Mangold has been looking for a new project since he wrapped work on his Western. He held talks for The Wolf Man remake, a gig which eventually went to Joe Johnston. He also made a deal in March to direct Cyclops, an adaptation of a science fiction graphic novel at Warner Bros.
