Jurassic World: 17 Easter Eggs, In-Jokes And References You Need To See
They spared no expense on the background details.
After months of anticipation, Jurassic World is finally here. It's been fourteen years since the last Jurassic Park movie (and twenty-two years since the last good one), meaning fan excitement is pretty high. Thankfully, the film broadly lives up to expectations, providing a good-looking summer blockbuster experience. What's most refreshing is how Colin Trevorrow manages the legacy of the original. Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park is held in such high esteem that there's no real hope of any follow up topping it. So, instead of trying and failing to match it, World instead has endless fun taking some of Park's stray ideas and running with them. This leads to the first sequel that actually feels like the original, rather than just a ninety minute National Geographic special on dinosaurs. Jurassic World doesn't please long-time fans just with a solid movie though. Oh no, it's chock full of little Easter eggs that reference back to the original film and in-jokes about how the world has changed in the two decades since. Here are seventeen of the best for you to keep an eye out for when you inevitably head back to rewatch the film. Naturally this article contains spoilers for the entire plot of Jurassic World, so tread as if a T-Rex is hunting you.
