Justice League is heading to cinemas faster than a speeding bullet, and with less than two months to go until it hits, fresh developments from the set are flooding in.

The fans are already well aware that the team-up project will see Batman assemble a team of iconic superheroes to battle against the evil Steppenwolf, but the main cast recently opened up about their characters, offering extra insight into their roles.

Bats will be joined by The Flash, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg and Superman in the film, and perhaps a bonus hero or two, if the latest reports are to be believed.

Zack Snyder was at the helm as director before a family tragedy forced him to step down and hand the baton to Joss Whedon. Tasked with steering the movie over the finish line, the Avengers filmmaker has shot a bunch of extra scenes to tighten Justice League up and achieve tonal consistency.

Judging by the banter-laden trailers, that means make it more Marvel-like as oppose to dark and dreary Batman v Superman, and the new intel that's just dropped will give you a clearer idea of how Whedon and his creative team are achieving that.

10. The Flash's Costume Ring Will Not Feature

Ezra Miller, who plays The Flash in Justice League, has been outlining the differences between his incarnation of the Scarlet Speedster and his comic book counterpart.

Moviegoers will be introduced to a fledgling version of the superhero. He's basically the baby of the group, and doesn't have access to all of the gadgets and gizmos usually associated with Barry Allen.

Miller has confirmed that The Flash's Costume Ring, a wearable device stores his outfit while in civilian mode, will not be included in Justice League, which may disappoint some of the diehards.

The actor told EW...

"I can confirm, spoiler alert, his suit does not pop out of his ring [in the movie]. Things have to progress, you know? Original Barry Allen was clearly an incredibly, incredibly clever scientist. We acknowledge and respect that. We want to apologise to the fans who are mad about the ring thing.”

Although the Costume Ring is something of a fan-favourite Flash accessory, its omission from the film is understandable given that it will introduce Barry Allen in the early days of his crimefighting career.

The Scarlet Speedster is due to appear in his first solo outing, Flashpoint, in 2020, a film which will likely feature a maturer version of the character, complete with more of his bells and whistles from the comics.
