Justice League: Henry Cavill Contracted To Return As Superman One More Time

Hopefully, without a moustache.

Despite how awfully Henry Cavill's Superman was received in Justice League (thanks solely to the ridiculous decision to digitally remove his moustache), it seems we might well be getting to see more of him.

There's already been some talk of the long-awaited Man of Steel 2 movie (which, at this stage, would probably still have been a better idea than either Batman v Superman OR Justice League), and now Henry Cavill has confirmed that he in contracted to return to play the character one more time.

Whether that would be in a stand-alone Superman sequel or another Justice League movie remains to be seen, but Cavill does seem drawn to the former.

He spoke to the LA Times to confirm his contract status and to big up the continuation of the Superman story:

“There’s a wonderful opportunity to tell the Superman story. Now there is a fantastic chance to show Superman in his full colors and tell a very complex, character-driven movie that is based on story and have that wonderful sensation of hope and happiness. A feel-good movie with lessons laced in there as well.”

It's funny how he knows how to make a Superman movie, but nobody at Warner Bros currently does.

Quite what the future of the unofficially titled DCEU will hold now also remains to be seen, as it was believed that Justice League was the foundation stone for the already slated movies. But if it's financially successful enough for the critical consensus not to matter (which it still could be) then a Man of Steel sequel would be a very welcome addition.

Provided Henry Cavill's top lip isn't contractually obligated to be fuzzy again, of course.
