7. Katie Holmes
Alright, so it may be difficult to suggest that Katie Holmes is anyone's first choice when it comes to playing Kate Middleton, but she may not be as crazy a suggestion as you might believe. Whilst these days she may be better known for divorcing Tom Cruise than for her acting capabilities, she has delivered some very strong performances in films such as Batman Begins and Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, both of which prove that she does actually have a genuine talent, even if she did then go on to star in Jack and Jill. Whilst Holmes has other projects in the pipeline, it feels as if she is in need of a career resurgence and winning the role of Kate Middleton would be just the project to give her that. It is easy to believe that she could take in the toned down sophistication of the royal family and a strong English accent is only a dialect class or two away. Maybe not such an outside choice after all.
