The Last Of Us Movie: 15 Key Scenes We Need To See

If they miss of these out, it simply won't be a Last Of Us movie.

With 2013's The Last of Us earning itself a major motion picture adaptation less than a year after its release, it is clear that the mark this game left on its players was profound enough that Screen Gems felt it should be spread to the masses. While the movie is almost guaranteed to be a success financially, it will have to be almost perfect for passionate fans of the game to call it anything near worth watching. As history goes, the creation of this film will definitely be an uphill battle. This isn't the first time a studio has tried to make a blockbuster hit out of games and it surely won't be the last. The Halo and Assassin's Creed series didn't even make it to production and plenty of other series have been completely written off by fans and critics alike, with the Resident Evil and Silent Hill franchises being just a couple in recent memory. Despite the mess that has been game-to-film adaptations, The Last of Us is a completely different breed from any other game that has followed this trend. It is something that could actually have the potential to benefit from a theatrical release, due to one of its only negatives which being an occasionally-subpar artificial intelligence system. Aside from that, all the movie can realistically hope for is to sit on the same level as one of last year's best games. There are a number of scenes that the film will have to flawlessly depict the emotion the game did on players. Without further ado, here they are.
