Even a year away from its release, there's already lots of reasons to be excited about Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. The cast - headed by Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie - is phenomenal, including some Tarantino regulars; the story is as compelling as it is awful and notorious; and of the director himself makes it an even more exciting project.

And as if you needed all of that excitement stoked ahead of the 2019 release, we now have the first look at DiCaprio and Pitt in character thanks to the former, who shared it on Instagram.

Clearly, they've done a lot of work to make sure the period look is absolutely perfect...

He's playing neither, though. DiCaprio is playing Rick Dalton, former star of a TV Western show, while Pitt plays his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth. Tarantino says it is “a story that takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood... Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor…Sharon Tate.”

All we need to know now is who is playing Charles Manson. If you're the gambling type, maybe consider putting some money on James Marsden...
