Lindsay Lohan Sentenced To 120 Days In Jail, Is Bailed After Just 5 Hours

Lindsay Lohan was sentenced yesterday to spend 120 days in jail for violating her probation on a drink-driving conviction in 2007, but was embarrassingly freed just five hours into her sentence on a $75,000 bail (£45, 413). That's 30 times more than the $2,500 necklace she is accused of stealing from a jewellery store in California back in January, though Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner did reduce the grand theft felony charge to a misdemeanor. The 24 year old will also be required to carry out 480 hours of community service at a woman's centre and also at an L.A. morgue before returning for trial where a further loss may mean jail time without the option of bail. Presumably because she qualified for bail, she will still be able to star in the John Gotti biopic she is attached to, though reading between the lines she's already done something to piss off producer Marco Fiore who this week told People that the actress was OUT of the movie completely, before a few hours later TMZ reported that she would play John Gotti Jr's daughter-in-law Kim, rather than the bigger role of Victoria Gotti. A smaller part one would seem, probably because the producers just can't fully trust her. Gotti: Three Generations which has John Travolta and Joe Pesci signed on to star, is already in trouble having lost it's director Nick Cassavetes and no replacement has been found just yet.
