have honoured the year's worst in film with the Razzies on the night before the Oscars ceremony and
M. Night Shyamalan is the brunt of the joke this year, sweeping the awards for Worst Director, Worst Picture, Worst Screenplay and Worst Eye-Gouging Mis-Use of 3D for his 2010 mis-fire,
The Last Airbender. Having suffered through The Happening and Lady in the Water, the award has been a long time coming for Shyamalan and his career trajectory was always going to land him with one of these sooner rather than later.
Jackson Rathbone also took home Worst Supporting Actor for both The Last Airbender and Twilight: Eclipse... In the rest of the acting categories,
Ashton Kutcher was awarded Worst Actor for Valentine's Day and Killers, and after No Strings Attached followed his non-descript rom-com performances of 2010, he might already be a contender again this year. The whole cast of
Sex and the City 2 won Worst Actress and Worst Ensemble, respectively, for a movie that was also dubbed 'Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel".
Jessica Alba won Worst Supporting Actress for her performances in four movies - The Killer Inside Me, Little Fockers, Machete and Valentine's Day - which seems a little mean-spirited as she was fine in Michael Winterbottom's film, and I don't remember anything horrific about her in Machete.
