March is dominated by 300

HOT FUZZ (my review here) as the movie you were most looking forward to seeing that month. That was a smart choice because the film rocked and is so far the best film I've seen this year but we are of course only two months into 2007. I left the poll running for nearly a week this time to get a better consensus of what you want to see and it's with little surprise that 300 came out on top with a massive 77% which works out as 23 votes. I really can't wait for this thing. It had the best trailer of 2006 which I think we have all drooled over a million times by now. It's going to be gruesome, it's going to be loud, bloody, dirty, violent and very, very, cool! You lucky Americans can see it on Friday, we have to wait a couple of weeks longer here in the U.K. The rest of the March releases hardly got any love at all. Ghost Rider (WHICH IS AWFUL, review coming soon) got 2 votes as it only came out in the U.K. this weekend as did the CGI Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles flick which is getting hardly any press at all. No-one seems to care about those heroes in a half shell. The rest of these movies got one vote.... Zodiac - Which I hope is only because you are all so pumped for seeing 300 and not because you don't care about Fincher's flick. Come on man, this looked great... don't forget about this film! Black Snake Moan - See above! This looks kick ass too! Shooter - You know, this Mark Wahlberg flick doesn't actually look that bad, even if it looks a little predictable. Dead Silence and The Hills Have Eyes II don't look like they are going to take us out of the horror glut in Hollywood right now as they got no votes, along with the Disney animated movie Meet the Robinsons. March looks to be a strong month..... but it's definitely dominated by 300!
