Margot Robbie Is An 'Australian Psycho' For Vogue

She's hot, and insane. And insanely hot.

With The Wolf of Wall Street behind her and Suicide Squad coming up, Margot Robbie has pretty much cornered the market on being sexy and deranged.

As such - what could be a more perfect role for her than a female (and Australian) Patrick Bateman?

No, Robbie isn't about to shoot a female American Psycho remake (be relieved/disappointed as applicable). However, she has shot a short homage to director Mary Harron's 2000 adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis's uber-controversial novel, which launched Christian Bale as a leading man.

It's called Australian Psycho - and, bizarrely, it's a promo video for Vogue magazine.

Check it out below.

Directed by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost (Paranormal Activity 3&4, the upcoming Nerve), the short is an understated spoof of the sequence in which Patrick Bateman details his ludicrously specific morning beauty routine.

Given the satirical tone, it's a little hard to swallow this as an ad for a publication notorious for its obsession with beauty - but it's certainly an attention-grabber.

Of course, viewers unfamiliar with American Psycho may be a bit baffled - but what can we say. Go see it, people. It's been readily available for over 15 years.

And we might also note that there is a female American Psycho movie, in the film's direct-to-DVD sequel which starred Mila Kunis - but you're not missing much by missing that.
