Marvel Writers Want Moon Knight Film

A few months after Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige said that Moon Knight is on their "character cards" for future MCU features, Avengers: Infinity War writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have reiterated their desire to see the vigilante, who goes by the name of Marc Spector in the comics, join the franchise too.
Though fans have previously suspected that the hero, who has multiple personality disorder, would make the leap to Netflix eventually - with the character's literature lending itself well to Marvel TV's violent version of the MCU - talk from Marvel's camp has intimated that he could be destined for the big screen. Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn made clear his wish to see the character in the universe at some point (along with Squirrel Girl), then there were Feige's comments the other month, and now Markus and McFeely's, who are clearly best placed to orchestrate the vigilante's first big screen outing.
Speaking to Kevin Smith on Fatman on Batman (and relayed by WeGotThisCovered), Markus remarked how he wants someone at Marvel to make a "really good" Moon Knight movie, before going into the potential complications that could stifle an adaptation.
"Somebody should make a really good Moon Knight movie, but it’s complicated. It’s because he got really good later. At the beginning, he was kinda good but kinda cheesy, and then, later on, he got kinda awesome, but the awesome part kind of needs the cheesy part to make sense, so it gets very convoluted very quickly. But he’s Jewish which is nice."
In the comics, Moon Knight is a street-level vigilante who fights criminals in - where else? - New York City. After a chance encounter with the Egyptian Moon God Konshu, Spector - a former mercenary - returns to New York to begin his crimefighting career. Once considered something of a Batman rip-off, Moon Knight today has undergone something of a comic book renaissance, starring in multiple lauded series under the guidance of scribes like Brian Bendis, Warren Ellis, and Jeff Lemire.
Now, with Feige and two of the MCU's most important architects intimating a desire to see him on the big screen, it could be set to continue.
