Chris Pratt knows how many movies he has left on his current Marvel contract, but he has no intention of telling anyone or even listening to Marvel if they decide not to offer him a new contract to play Star-Lord.

The Guardians Of The Galaxy star sat down with SlashFilm to confirm that he's in it for the long-haul with the MCU, and even if his contract expires, he has no plans to actually stop playing the character.

"I’ll tell you, as much as I love Marvel, it doesn’t matter how many I have contracted, because I’m going to continue to work with them."

And is he interested in a new contract? It barely even matters...

"Totally, dude. I want to – I love working with them. I’m going to continue to work with them whether they like it or not. Even if they write me out, I’m going to show up on set and be like, ‘Hey, man!’ They’re done. They don’t get to shake me."

This is not a strong negotiation position, Christopher. But it's good for all of Star-Lord's fans, who will be hoping for more than just a third Guardians movie and a possible spin-off (here's hoping). It's especially good since James Gunn has previously said his trilogy will mark the end of the current iteration of the Guardians, leading to suspicions that they will either be disbanded or killed off. Hopefully, it just means they'll turn up in other movies as individuals or pairs.

He was also asked if he's going to appear in Captain Marvel (which would be sweet). His answer? "I don’t know." So at least that leaves room for hope and speculation.
