MCU - Fantastic Four & X-Men Are Home: Disney Completes Fox Buy-Out
The MCU is about to get even bigger...
It is done.
After what has felt like years, Disney have completed their deal to buy Fox, meaning that the X-Men and the Fantasic Four are FINALLY back where they belong. That emotive line is the way Disney will no doubt spin it, but the fact that we have the characters back where they're accessible to the MCU is what really matters.
It's that accessibility, which should see both properties and all of their linked characters and protected ideas, that makes it a lot more easy to ignore the questions about creative monopolies and all of the possible dangers of such a merger.
The deal has been a long time in the making, but according to a statement put out by Fox, it will be completed tomorrow (12:02 a.m. Eastern Time, March 20, 2019) and we can all start getting excited about the possibilities.
That means Deadpool, the X-Men, The New Mutants, the Fantastic Four, Galactus, Doctor Doom, Silver Surfer and everyone else that Fox did own are now back in Kevin Feige's hands. Even if you're concerned about what such a deal means in broader terms, that's got to be exciting.
Are you excited to have the X-Men and Fantastic Four in a place where they can join the MCU?
