Of all the characters in the MCU, Peter Quill and Peter Parker are two of the most similar. Both born on Earth, both are quippy and funny, and both grew up with father figures instead of fathers.

Yet, while their character traits are similar, until their paths crossed in Infinity War their MCU journeys were very different. Star Lord was thieving his way through space before saving the galaxy, while Spider-Man was trying to balance being a superhero with finishing his homework.
