MCU Villain Actor Calls Working On Thor Sequel "A Gun In Your Mouth"

Sometimes "being a whore" isn't worth it, apparently...

It's already been pretty widely reported that working on Thor: The Dark World was not a great time for several people. Director Alan Taylor has been pretty open with his disdain for the experience (particularly with the way Marvel steamrolled him in the edit) and it was enough to end Natalie Portman's involvement in the MCU.

And now you can add Christopher Eccleston to that list, as he's been talking to The Guardian about his experience working on it (and on GI Joe) in the wake of him leaving Doctor Who and allegedly being blacklisted by the BBC. It's an interesting interview, to say the least.

Basically, those two movies represent jobs he took primarily for financial reward and he regrets them in the strongest, bloodiest terms:

“Working on something like GI Joe was horrendous. I just wanted to cut my throat every day. And Thor? Just a gun in your mouth. Gone in 60 Seconds was a good experience. Nic Cage is a gentleman and fantastic actor. But GI Joe and Thor were … I really paid for being a whore those times.”

Well, that's not very nice.

He blames himself for the experience, but if you're anyone who has any pride in the fact that you worked on either of those movies, that's going to be a pretty big kick in the teeth. At least his performance doesn't really have many fans.
