Survivor is a terrorism thriller set in London but largely populated with Americans. In fact, it seems like the hot-shot goodies are all non-Brits, while Irish Pierce Brosnan steps up as the villain. Presumably they shot the film here because it's cheap, even when you're blowing it up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lnEyZEoYJU The director is James McTeague, best known for his work on V For Vendetta, whcih was also set in London, so maybe he just likes it here. We'll also get to see some of McTeagues work in Sense8 later this year, the Netflix show created by The Wachowskis. That's a global story, so maybe McTeague will be handling the London stuff again. I can't say I was brought to the edge of my seat by this trailer, but I'll give it a punt. Jovovich is likeable, and Brosnan makes for an amusing villain. He'd have been great in the silent era, wearing a stovepipe hat and twirling his moustache, I think. Survivor is scheduled for UK release on July 10th, right at the height of summer. Don't expect to see it take the top of the box office, then, but it might be nice to have a little bit of an option about what to watch.
