Pixar's JOHN CARTER Trailer in Glorious High Definition!

A fantastic and enigmatic teaser trailer – featuring an awesome Peter Gabriel cover of an Arcade Fire song that will soon set the internet a-buzz.

Updated: Ok, so I have now watched the trailer.... furiously on repeat... and a dozen times at that and I'm hooked. I don't know what the hell it's trying to tell me or what the film is about but I don't mind feeling vulnerable because the whole thing just looks so spectacular! I'm not even sure I can fully grasp what it is I just witnessed but Andrew Stanton (Wall*E) has put together a top-rate fantasy trailer for John Carter that has my jaw dropping to the floor in a way that very few big blockbuster movies have in the past. This is like the first time I watched the trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring or well, I don't know what else. It's incomparable. The special effects are lush, the intrigue and the visual fest orgy that awaits us... the drama.... everything feels so serious and dramatic. If ever a trailer was designed to tease, it was this one... I mean it doesn't even scratch the surface of what our very own Rob Beames has seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Rf55GTEZ_E& Taylor Kirsch stars as John Carter and is almost the solo focus of the trailer as the Civil War soldier who is transported to Mars and then becomes a space adventurer. You wouldn't really know that from the trailer but there's plenty of time for Pixar to fill us in on the context. It's all surface level stuff for now and boy it looks great. Samantha Morton, Dominic West, Polly Walker, Willem Dafoe, Lynn Collins, Bryan Cranston, Ciaran Hinds, James Purefoy, Thomas Haden Church, Mark Strong and Daryl Sabara support. John Carter is due in March. Pixar doesn't just know how to knock our socks off with animated films but live-action too. ORIGINAL ARTICLE FOLLOWS.... Apple have just sent me the link to the much anticipated John Carter trailer that will be attached to tonight's midnight showings of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II. Unlike the ignorant marketing folks at Warner Bros (though they did get it right for Sherlock Holmes 2 bizarrely) - Disney have had the good sense to debut a HQ trailer first, and of course via iTunes. I haven't yet watched the trailer myself yet, I just wanted to make sure this was up quickly for your viewing pleasure. Oh, and if you haven't yet checked out Rob Beames' extensive in-depth report on Pixar's development and plans for their first live-action movie that opens next March then you really should check out his fantastic article from a few days ago. Rob called this "a fantastic and enigmatic teaser trailer €“ featuring an awesome Peter Gabriel cover of an Arcade Fire song that will soon set the internet a-buzz". Watch below and tell me if you agree; For some reasons the links provided by Apple don't seem to want to work. Use these below, they are much bigger and of better quality anyway; http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/disney/johncarter/
