Prince Caspian cast in Narnia sequel

benbarnes.jpgThe role of Prince Caspian has been cast in the Narnia sequel. Ben Barnes has nabbed the role, so desperate he was to appear in the big budget fantasy epic that he dropped out of his role in the British theatre stage production of The History Boys. This is what a spokesperson of the National Theatre said at the weekend... "Ben Barnes has decided to leave The History Boys early, before his contract is finished. It is something we are taking very seriously. He has accepted an offer to be in a children's Disney film and we have had to fly Jamie King back at extremely short notice this week." Director Andrew Adamson has previously said that the four main actors from the first Narnia movie will reprise their roles for this sequel with filming all set to begin this month in New Zealand. Apparently Barnes is about to be sued by the National Theatre for leaving the project to go to Hollywood but really can you blame the guy? This is a lead role in a massive picture and when you see what Lord of the Rings did for Elijah Wood... how could he not grab the opportunity that was presented to him. source - filmstalker, narnia fans, coming soon, the times
