Prometheus Goes Viral & Reveals Guy Pearce

3:09 minute faux video gives us first real flavour of Guy Pearce's Peter Wayland in the June released sci-fi film.

It has been well over a solid week since we've had any news on the much anticipated non-Alien-prequel-prequel, Prometheus. But now the marketing brains behind Ridley Scott's latest have released a 3:09 minute faux video, from popular business media website TED. The video in question takes place in 2023, and gives us the first real flavour of Guy Pearce's Peter Wayland (you know...Wayland Industries) and potentially sets up some juicy plot points. Could the story of Greek myth Prometheus indeed be a foreshadowing of the film's themes? "Every day an Eagle would chew through his stomach and eat his liver." Doesn't that just conjure up visions of a screaming John Hurt sprawled over the dinner table! Anyways, its a tad self aware in places and is clearly not going Nolan-esque in its efforts to seem either a) outrageously cryptic or b) authentic to the source universe (clearly not the filming of a business conference). But nonetheless, its great to see Mr Pearce on promising (if not slightly theatrical) form. And one cannot help but feel more pangs of excitement about what promises to be one of histories more anticipated releases.
