Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained Gets Mouthwatering New Images

Quentin Tarantino's first out and out western "Django Unchained" still has two months left of filming to go before it's completed but this past week has seen The Weinstein Company and Sony Pictures already get the marketing ball rolling. Last week some extended footage from the film screened at the Cannes Film Festival and a few days ago we heard a trailer for the movie could be attached to the impending sci-fi blockbuster "Prometheus". Now comes a set of new images that for those who haven't seen the footage, is our best look yet at Tarantino's next movie that is still over six months away from its December 25th (US) and early January 2013 (UK) release. The images, which you can see in our gallery below, depict the main trio from the film; Jamie Foxx's slave turned Clint Eastwood style gunslinger in Django, Christoph Waltz's eccentric dentist turned bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz and Leonardo DiCaprio's utterly evil Mandingo slave driver Dr. Calvin Candie. They also show our first look at Franco Nero, the original Django from the classic Spaghetti western that is one of the film's biggest inspirations. Take a gander at what Tarantino is crafting;
"When this movie's done, there's gonna be some hot button issues but, given my background, I think I'll be able to get some points across. The one thing that stuck out to me in the script was that Django was married. Back then, to be married was taboo. This is a love story. He's not trying to stop slavery. He's not trying to do anything but find the love of his life - which is like trying to find a needle in a world of haystacks," Foxx told Empire.
