2015 is over and all the Oscar-baiting releases are out of the way, so now it's time for what's historically the worst time of the year for movies. That's right, the so-called "dump months" of January and February, where studios discard their less-favoured projects like rotten rusks in the hope of maybe recouping at least some of the money that went into making them. As ever, January duly delivered on that front, even if it did also serve up a few pleasant surprises and diversions to lighten the load, especially if you were adventurous enough to take a peek on VOD for some hidden gems. And as for what February has in store? Well, the new Coen Brothers movie Hail Caesar!, Deadpool, Zoolander 2 and Triple 9 might be good.
