Ranking March 2018's Movies From Worst To Best

19. The Outsider

The Outsider Jared Leto
Netflix

RottenTomatoes Score: 20% (3.7/10)

Box Office: Straight to Netflix.

Verdict: Jared Leto gives one of his dullest performances in this potentially fresh take on the gangster film formula. Sadly without much historical context, The Outsider only has some neat Japanese scenery and a solid Tadanobu Asano performance going for it.

The romantic subplot is hilariously cliched, the pacing is insanely slow, and Leto aims for stoic but ends up sleepwalking his way through the entire movie.

Some movies land on Netflix because they're left-field and ambitious, and some end up there because no theatrical distributor wants to touch them with a 50-foot barge pole. Go figure.
