Did The Rock Just Reveal Shazam DC Movie Role?

You know you want it.

Everybody in the world would presumably backflip in a state of unadulterated joy should Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson ever find himself as a major part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe... but what about the DC Cinematic Universe instead? There have been plenty of rumours of late, of course, regarding the likes of The Rock taking on the role of either Lobo or - yes - The Green Lantern. But has anybody stopped to consider The Rock as Shazam? Talking to Total Film this week about his new movie, Hercules, The Rock let it slip that DC are about to make a huge announcement. And apparently he'll be playing a character with the "power of Superman," but one who is definitely not The Green Lantern ("He was a character I wanted to play," The Rock explains, "but there was already a version of Green Lantern..."). Given the fact that a Shazam flick is currently rumoured, his casting seems to make sense. Check out the video here and see what you think: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7Ef8qx6uOI Shazam, for anybody who doesn't know, is a sort of Superman-like hero called Captain Marvel, who can transform into such using the word "shazam!" Can you imagine how inherently hilarious watching The Rock saying shazam over and over again would be? We can imagine all the YouTube supercuts already. What do you think? Would The Rock make a good Shazam? Let us know in the comments section below.
