Snyder has the idea, but will he shoot THE LAST PHOTOGRAPH?

Zack Snyder has an original idea for a film, revolving around a photograph that begins a journey in war-torn Afghanistan... but he may not direct it.

Watchmen right now, but one of the hottest directors around is sorting out his future plans, one of which is The Last Photograph - a film that will mark his first original idea for film. The movie will reunite Synder with screenwriter Kurt Johnston and the studio Hollywood Gang Productions, both of whom worked with him on 300 however it's not set in stone that Snyder will direct this... as he's already got a few irons in the fire.

Story revolves around a photograph that becomes the catalyst for a journey two men undertake through war-torn Afghanistan.
The money 300 made and the fact that Snyder can work quickly and without a fuss, has made him one of the top directors studio's look at when they need a director. After he has completed Watchmen (which really will be a test to see if he is the director we all hope he is) he will be choosing between The Illustrated Man, Sucker Punch and a new zombie movie Army of the Dead, his first return to the genre after his break through film, the remake of Dawn of the Dead in 2004. Snyder is two for two right now with me, after helming two of the most entertainig movies of their respective years. We are all wishing him well over Watchmen, a project close to geeks hearts for years... let's hope he's the real deal.
