Spectre: 10 Awesome Things We Learned About Bond 24

The hype machine has been shaken and stirred.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2bqhz2_spectre-everything-you-need-to-know-about-bond-24_shortfilms As the hype train has been kicking into gear for many of 2015's big releases, things have been oddly quiet for one the largest upcoming movies. Other movies have been showing special effects laden trailers to get audiences hyped years ahead of time, yet there's been nothing but scant rumours about Bond 24, the latest entry in the 007 series and follow-on to the incredible Skyfall. All that changed this morning, when the world got its first official information on Spectre. The title of the new movie, as well as its central cast and location schedule, were revealed at a special, live-streamed event at Pinewood studios. Bookended by moments of Alex Zane reading facts off Wikipedia for some reason, the announcement was a brilliant way for everyone to learn the exciting news at the same time, rather than having news outlets scrambling to be the first to report on it. Director Sam Mendes, returning to the series after delivering its most successful entry, appeared genuinely excited to be unveiling what looks set to be one of next year's best films, although how he'll be feeling on Monday morning when embarking on a mammoth shooting schedule is less certain. A press release, sent out just after the live stream, confirmed much of what was said, as well as providing some information that Mendes didn't reveal, including a short synopsis that sheds a little more light on the movie. There's obviously a lot to talk about, so come along and look at ten cool things learnt today (coupled with rampant speculation) about the movie formerly known as Bond 24.
