Spider-Man: Far From Home - Does Pepper Potts Rumour Confirm Iron Man Tragedy?

Time to say goodbye?

Time might be up for Tony Stark.

According to a new rumour from SuperBrosMovies, Pepper Potts will be joining fellow MCU veterans Nick Fury and Maria Hill in Spider-Man: Far From Home in a surprising revelation that - if true - casts serious doubt on Tony Stark's fate in Avengers 4.

This comes hot on the heels of news that Jon Favreau's Happy Hogan will also be involved in the film after he was filmed shooting in London...

If both Happy and Pepper are involved, it surely means that Tony Stark is no more. He was - after all - Peter Parker's surrogate father figure in Homecoming and Infinity War, while Happy and Pepper had removed relationships from him at best. Sure, Happy was Peter's handler to preserve Stark's distance from him, but they weren't exactly friendly and the older man definitely considered him an inconvenience (even if he did save his job).

You have to suspect that them being involved in the story means we're picking up in Far From Home with the immediate aftermath of Tony's death in Avengers 4 (they may even be involved because his funeral opens the film). Perhaps Happy's duty to Tony will extend to him continuing to look out for Peter?

It's really difficult to see it as anything other than that right now. But what do you think?
