In Homecoming, diehard Spidey fans would've likely noted how Donald Glover's Aaron Davis referenced his nephew. While Glover's character himself has a heroic persona in the comics as the Prowler, it's his relative who has risen to prominence in recent years.

Miles Morales, who shot to fame when he took on the mantle of Spider-Man in 2011, has only gone from strength to strength since, with the character set to appear in both Insomniac's Spider-Man game and in his own animated film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Some fans (myself included) were actually quite disappointed that Marvel didn't lead with Miles when they rebooted the character for Captain America: Civil War, and though it's obvious that Tom Holland's Peter Parker will hang around for awhile now, a passing of the torch - or a dual assumption of the Spider-Man identity - shouldn't be ruled out.

In any case, it's likely that Miles will feature in some capacity in the sequel, and it's bound to make fans happy. If he were to suit up proper, however, fans would be even happier.
