3. "Of Human Bondage"

The international trailer ends with Peter and his classmates watching a gym video hosted by Captain America, and Peter gloats that he stole Cap's shield during the Civil War airport battle.

In the top-right corner, Zendaya's Michelle is reading a book, which upon closer inspection is W. Somerset Maugham's 1915 novel Of Human Bondage. What's the significance here, then? Well, the story follows a young boy, Philip Carey, whose parents die and as such he is sent to live with his aunt and uncle, so the link between Philip and Peter is pretty damn clear.

A fun nod that's not at all intrusive on the scene, but cute all the same, and it's really clear from this just how much of a bookworm Michelle is, so if she really is MJ, it's quite a radical departure indeed.
