Spider-Man Homecoming Trailer 2: 20 Best Internet Reactions
Spider-Man was just trying to be all brave like his old father, Mufasa.
Typical. You wait forever* (*well, about two weeks) for a new comic book movie trailer to come around, and then two arrive in quick succession.
After all the hype generated by the excellent trailer for Justice League, Marvel weren't to be outshone by their rivals, with a new look at Spider-Man: Homecoming swinging in.
It's about time too: I was talking with colleagues just last week about how it felt underhyped compared to the year's other MCU offerings, and this certainly levels the playing field and then some.
Building on the first trailer, this one offers a great look at Tom Holland's web-slinger, and his Peter Parker, along with *lots* of Tony Stark, more of Michael Keaton's Vulture, and, well, a whole bunch of plot details.
It features a lot of action, with a couple of major set pieces, plenty of heart and humour, and perfectly establishes the tone and John Hughes vibe that they're going for. Naturally, then, the internet had a lot to say on the matter.
20. Deadpool
Deadpool and Spider-Man have a lot of shared history, and not just because their suits are kinda similar.
The pair of smart-mouthed superheroes have shared the page together numerous times, with Wade Wilson generally getting on Peter Parker's nerves, and fans love putting them together.
It's no surprise to see this tweet then, which has Deadpool playing a game of Peekaboo - and judging by the way he's looking down, it might not have ended too well (and sure, this is the poster rather than the trailer, but I'm counting it anyway because it's great). If only they could arrange a three-studio deal and get these guys together. Now that's a homecoming.
