Star Wars: 10 Best Characters From Only One Movie

The travesty of Darth Maul getting one Star Wars film and Jar Jar getting three...

Star Wars is crammed full of iconic characters, including two of cinema's greatest villains in Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine and a bona-fide female action lead in Princess Leia. Han Solo became the rogue turned hero everyone loved, Luke was the innocent worthy hero, Yoda the best green muppet on film and even trundling trash can R2D2 is cherished. Space battles and epic adventure were a key ingredient but they completed the stories of these heroes and villains, rather than overshadowing them. One of the biggest failings of the prequel trilogy was George Lucas' infatuation with green screen: he had one of the greatest tragedies to tell - the fall of Anakin Skywalker and the rise of The Empire - and yet somehow that all got lost somewhere between battle droids and Jar Jar Binks. This article is dedicated to those all too brief flashes of brilliance who made an impression and deserved a lot more screen time. They are the galaxy's greatest one hit wonders...
