Star Wars: 8 Characters Who Will Die By The End Of Episode IX

I've got a bad feeling about this...

Star Wars The Force Awakens Poe Dameron Dies

For many, Star Wars: The Force Awakens not becoming the highest grossing film of all time will be viewed as disappointing. However, that really downplays the achievement of $2 billion at the global box office. That is no small feat. And more impressively, unlike the actual biggest film at the box-office, Avatar, The Force Awakens a) did a great job of setting up its sequels, and b) has people genuinely excited to see more and know what happens next.

Aside from the fact that the film was fantastic, and brought Star Wars roaring back to life on the big-screen, there are plenty of questions left over to be answered: who are Rey's parents (though it'd still be a major shock if Luke isn't her father?) Is there more to Snoke? How did Maz get the lightsaber? What next for Kylo Ren and the First Order? Then there's one that maybe doesn't specifically relate to the events of the film, but needs asking anyway because it's going to happen - who will die?

The biggest moment of The Force Awakens, and something the ripples of which will be felt throughout this new trilogy, was of course the death of Han Solo. It was an extremely poignant moment, tragic in the loss of this beloved character, but perfect in its execution.

Han, though, was just the first. This is Star *Wars* after all, and wars always have casualties. By the time we reach the end of Colin Trevorrow's Episode IX, to be released in 2019, both sides will have suffered some major losses.
