Star Wars Episode 7: Who Are The 7 New Characters?

Star_Wars_Logo_by_JohnnySlowhand-600x300 Look, no one has any idea what the new Star Wars movie from J.J. Abrams is going to be about. We know that the holy trinity of Han, Luke, and Leia have a decent chance of being in it. And we know it€™s set in the future of the original trilogy, some untold specific time after the events of Star Wars VI: Return Of The Jedi. Period. That€™s it. So, what we do from now until the first serious plot details start leaking is speculate! That€™s okay though, because speculation is fun. And unfortunately history shows that with Star Wars, speculation and anticipation tend to be a whole lot more fun that the actual movies. So, keeping in mind that this is pure speculation (with a healthy dose of Expanded Universe knowledge€”berate me all you like in the comments but the EU has practically every story that should or shouldn€™t ever be told about this universe), let€™s have a look at the OFFICIAL casting call for our next Star Wars film, then speculate wildly:

7. Late-Teen Female, Independent, Good Sense Of Humour, Fit

Jaina-jaina-solo-24548304-520-770 This one is gonna be Han and Leia€™s daughter. At least two or three of these teens and twenties folks are going to be Skywalker-Solo spawn, but given the €œsense of humor€ thing, I€™m going to call this one for Han€™s daughter. Leia€™s too, obviously. What€™ll she be like? She€™ll be fit and independent and funny. That€™s what we know. She€™ll be either a Jedi like Uncle Luke, a pilot like Dad, or a politician like Mom. From the Expanded Universe: In the EU, Han and Leia have a kid named €œJaina Solo.€ She€™s a pilot-Jedi, and she€™s pretty cool, actually. At the moment she€™s the only surviving Solo kid, so she€™s pretty independent.
