2019 will bring the end of the new sequel trilogy and the last confirmed film in the franchise - though according to Kathleen Kennedy the Boba Fett film will likely follow a year later. Everything else is just supposition...

What We Know Will Happen

Jurassic World's Colin Trevorrow will be directing Episode XI. It's also likely to be the final film to feature the original (surviving) core cast;  Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels Kenny and (maybe) Billie Dee Williams.

What We Predict Will Happen

The new Star Wars trilogy will bow out in style with Colin Trevorrow's Episode IX replacing The Empire Strikes Back as the crown of the Star Wars saga. Quoted as a magnificent swansong for Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Billie Dee Williams, making mega stars of Oscar Isaac, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega and filled with drama, suspense and the most spectacular space conflict ever committed to the big screen, Star Wars Episode IX becomes a cinematic triumph.

The long-mooted live-action TV series bursts onto our screens in September 2019, spinning off directly from the latest film, Featuring  one principal actor from the trilogy as the lead, it will mark a confidence in Disney and Lucasfilm to move on from Luke, Leia and Han.

Star Wars Jedi Academy will enter its third and final year, setting up many key plot points from the new live action show, with a new animated show rumoured to follow in 2020 / 2021. Anthology Netflix shows will continue to go strong, demonstrating Disney's confidence in the growing Star Wars franchise.
