Star Wars: The Force Awakens Finally Gets A Full Trailer

"It's true. All of it."

You gotta hand it to Disney - they know how to advertise Star Wars. The first couple of teasers for The Force Awakens were very image heavy, relying on old-but-new iconography to really tap into die-hard fans nostalgia. The worry was that the full official trailer would go more with convention to appeal to the mainstream, revealing vast swathes of the plot and leaving everyone with the sense they'd seen a little bit too much. Not so! The trailer premiered during ESPN's Monday Night Football and was swiftly made available on the Star Wars YouTube channel (see below) and while we learn some very cool things about the state of the galaxy (the Jedi are merely legends) and the plans of the villains (Kylo Ren is "finishing" what Vader started) this is still very much on the "tease" side of things. It's a great trailer, getting you more excited (somehow) for the film without a hint of fatigue. Highlights include what appears to be Poe being attacked via the Force by Kylo, Rey rappelling down a Star Destroyer, another awesome shot from the Escape from Jakku sequence, the first trailer appearance of Leia, the bit when... OK, it's all awesome. Check it out below and let us know what you think in the comments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGbxmsDFVnE Star Wars: The Force Awakens is in UK cinemas from December 17th and US cinemas from December 18th. Tickets are on sale now. The hype is real.
