Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Will There Be A Jar Jar Binks Easter Egg?

Don't worry - he won't be able to speak.

The bad news is that Jar Jar Binks may still be alive. The good news is that it may not be that way for long. Most Star Wars fans had killed off Jar Jar in their own minds a long time ago, which was all he deserved after his own attempts to kill off the franchise. Now the series is back, he may be too. Sort of. "I have a thought about putting Jar Jar Binks€™s bones in the desert there," director J.J. Abrams told Vanity Fair, while pointing at a particular shot of the film. "I€™m serious! Only three people will notice, but they€™ll love it.€ While many would simply prefer to go on doing all they can to forget that the character ever existed, such a shot would be quite the Easter egg from Abrams, and provide a fair amount of fan service and closure for those still scarred by The Phantom Menace. The quote from Abrams appeared as part of Vanity Fair's Star Wars special, which also revealed new character details for Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie, and a host of new images from The Force Awakens.
