14. Porgs

Porgs are everywhere. At least, that was the case in the build-up to the movie, in trailers, memes, and merchandise. In the actual film itself, though, their presence is far more muted.

They do get some great little moments - a couple are hilarious, and one is played for both humour and sadness - and of course they look absolutely adorable. They don't have a bearing on the plot in, say, the way the Ewoks do, but that's really for the better - they're just fun and don't get in the way (well, unless you're Chewbacca).
