Stardust footage online!

stardust2.jpgRemember Matthew Vaughn? Here's the guy that was all set to shoot the X-Men 3 movie before political problems (never actually confirmed but it's likely to be the case) and the fact he would have to move his family to the U.S. for the summer meant he had to drop out. A lot of what we saw in X-Men 3 apparently was his idea, the most obvious being the use of Vinnie Jones, who he cast after working with the actor in his team-ups with Guy Ritchie. Vaughn's only directorial movie to date is Layer Cake which showed great visual talent and pacing and I'm convinced he would have made a kick ass X-Men movie but alas it wasn't to be. His next movie Stardust, is an adaptation of Neil Gaiman's fantasy tale and has a mighty impressive cast attached that include Robert De Niro, Sienna Miller, Claire Danes, Michelle Pfeiffer, Peter O'Toole and I could go on and on and on. Solace in Cinema have the trailer for the movie in an easy to use player, which they found through Slash Film and Neil Gaiman's site. Apparently the footage originated on some Russain website and everyone is actually quite baffled as to what it is, as Gaiman says... "it's not an actual trailer, and it seems to be a bunch of shots cobbled together from unfinished CGI footage and has some Pirates of the Caribbean music on it, and I'm not sure who did it or for what". What it does show are some strikingly great visuals and it certainly leaves you begging to see more. We may not have to wait long until do as an official trailer is expected within three weeks as Stardust is set to be released late summer. Click here to visit Solace in Cinema to view the footage, just try not to let the POTC music take you out of the moment. Speaking of Pirates of the Caribbean, the trailer for the third movie should finally be online sometime in the next 30 hours or so! source - solace in cinema, slash film, neil gaiman's site
