I never did see
Madagascar but I do remember seeing the trailer for the movie only minutes before the new DC logo appeared....then the Warner Brothers logo...... then Bats filling the screen! I thought Madagascar looked terrible, I couldn't stand that idotic sounding "I want to move it, move it" which just grated on me so much. It must have impressed some people though, the movie did over half a million dollars worldwide, so a sequel was always going to happen.
Ben Stiller, one of the stars of the movie has been talking to
Coming Soon about the plot of the
Madagascar 2 and has said that voice recordings should take place very soon...
"I think all the animals head back to New York on that plane that you know was up in the trees and then they crash in Africa and Alex gets reacquainted with his real family and it goes from there," All the principal cast from the first film are set to return, with a release date scheduled for Novemeber 7th 2008. So let's see
The Dark Knight comes out at the end of June, a good four months before Madagascar... so hopefully I won't have to sit through another idotic trailer before.... The DC Logo appears..... then the Warner Brothers logo...... then Bats filling the screen! source -
