Sturgess joins Spacey's 21

10m.jpgThings seem to be moving along quickly in regards to Kevin Spacey's casino-based thriller 21. We reported on Friday that Robert Lucketi was on board to direct the film with Kevin Spacey set to star, after the actor has finally decided to go ahead with the film after holding the rights to make it for nearly five years. More casting has been annouced today, British actor Jim Sturgess will play one of the MIT students who manage to legally win as much as $4 million through card counting at a casino in Las Vegas. Sturgess has appeared in such British drama's as A Touch of Frost, Judge John Deed and Heartbeat and will appear next year alongside Natalie Portman, Scarlett Johansson and Eric Bana in The Other Boleyn Girl. 21 is based on Ben Mezrich's non-fiction novel Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six MIT Students Who Took Vegas for Millions and is set to start filming in February. source - variety, coming soon
