Suicide Squad Leaked Harley Quinn & Joker Tattoo Poster

Have the Joker's divisive tattoos finally been explained?

The recent reveal of Jared Leto's Joker took many fans eagerly awaiting the release of Suicide Squad by surprise, standing as perhaps the most radical - and divisive - take on the character yet seen. With his hands clasped over his head holding back his hair, the influence of Alan Moore's The Killing Joke is clear, leading some to believe that this will be a much darker version of the character than previously seen. More controversial was the inclusion of countless tattoos on the Joker's body, with many fans pointing out how out of character this seems, not least because they feature real world Joker iconography more akin to easter eggs than genuine reflections of the character's psychosis. But the recent leak of a Suicide Squad photograph could shed some light on this fan-polarizing aspect of the Joker's new appearance. The leaked image depicts Harley Quinn crouching behind the Joker's back, armed with a tattoo gun. If legitimate the image will shed some much-needed light on an aspect of the new Joker which has caused considerable controversy.
Additional set pictures have also surfaced online. The images were taken in Toronto and provided by Margot Source and uploaded to IGN, giving fans a fresh look at several of the key Suicide Squad characters in costume. Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Deadshot (Will Smith) and Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) all feature in the latest images, which indicate that part of Suicide Squad will be set in the home of DC character Hawkman, Midway City.
