Talks Underway To Hopefully Have Cable In Deadpool 2

Ryan Reynolds drops tantalising hints at a fan screening.

At the recent fan screening of Deadpool in Vancouver, cast and crew stepped out onto the stage to field some questions. Among them, one savvy fan shouted a suggestion for a sequel, if there ends up being one - Cable & Deadpool. Reynolds replied:
"Your lips to God's ears, my friend. Believe me, that's being talked about."
So there you have it. This is in addition to what director Tim Miller previously (and wisely) stated, that "if we don't put Cable in Deadpool 2 I think we'll be run out of town". You said it, Tim Miller. Cable & Deadpool famously shared a comic book of the same name from 2004 to 2008, starting off as enemies but ending as begrudging allies, connected by an annoying mutual teleportation device. The two anti-heroes have fantastic chemistry in the comics, so it's no wonder that fans would want to see the two share the screen in a sequel if Deadpool does well at the box office. Reynolds was also asked which characters he wanted for the Deadpool film but wasn't able to use. His reply was the supervillain Taskmaster - a fan-favourite bad guy with photographic reflexes who trains other bad guys - but Marvel had one reply for him... "cha-ching". That's what it feels for the shoe to be on the other foot, Fox.

Deadpool is released 4th February 2016 in the UK and 16th February in the US.
