Tarantino meeting with Leonardo DiCaprio Thursday for BASTARDS

Inglorious Bastards. The part is one of the lead roles in the film, alongside that of Aldo Raine which has now been confirmed to have been offered to Brad Pitt. Allegedly, Pitt and Tarantino met yesterday about the project, though you would think the actor had other things on his mind with the birth of his twins to his partner Angelina Jolie. Though both actors are two of the highest paid men in Hollywood, the producers believe they will have no trouble finding a studio to finance the project because of the high profile of the three men involved, with more expected on the way soon. Early talk about the film linked older A-list stars Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger to the project but so far, Tarantino has gone for the top stars of modern day cinema. Conveniently for Pitt, the film will shoot in Germany and France from October, the latter being his current place of residence. Rarely in the past have actors turned down Tarantino, and never has an actor's career suffered from starring in one of his films. source - variety
