SPOILERS AHEAD
An absolutely massive looking scene was shot yesterday (Saturday) in New York by Christopher Nolan for The Dark Knight Rises and at this point it doesn’t even look like Warner Bros. tried to hide what was going on. There’s dozens of snaps online already so beware if you are trying to stay pure as it’s spoilers all the way from here.
Much of what was being shot is reminiscent of what was filmed in Pittsburgh, so similar in fact that I wonder if it is just an expansion on that previous scene or something new altogether?
The scenes once again involved Christian Bale’s Batman fighting against Tom Hardy’s Bane with all hell seemingly breaking loose and there looks to be at least hundred extras on set!

Lmfao this looks utter crap!!again Nolan going to many action sequences!!bane looks utter pathetic and like a nightclub bouncer!!!what the he’ll is Nolan thinking? Bane in the comics is massive like the hulk was,this is such an epic mistake!!!all bane is going to be in this movie is a beasley who doesn’t speak.also catwoman is in this?lmfao!!!the avengers will destroy this pile of turd!!!
Really??? wow… so you’d prefer a clumsy looking CGI laced supergoon rather than a genuine person who can finally bring some much needed substance to what has oftern been a slighty mundane charcter?

Dark Knight Rises will be the best superhero movie ever made in history,I used to be a very big spiderman fan (when it was tobey maguire) but now they’re going to mess up everything with the reboot, the spidey suit sucks, Gwen Stace sucks, and mostly Garfield Sucks!! The new Batman movies were really great, and i hope this to be the best!

This my friend is why Nolan is a world renowned film producer and you are a jealous fanboy ranting at the screen in your moms basement because Bane doesn’t look exactly like he did in the comic books. We’ll see which film gains the most critical praise but my money is on the Dark Knight Rises.
we all know the 3rd installment of a comic book movie is cursed. I belive the curse will be broken.M
I haven’t been impressed with the set pictures so far. One of the things that has made the Bat-Nolan films so awesome is a sense of being grounded. The pics show 3 tumblers, and a “bat-copter” uhhhh… I don’t know. I’m hoping its awesome but its looking like it crossed the line to me..

It looks like batmans suit has more grey tones to it especially to the chest area, new suit that has stronger armor?
Anyone have any thoughts as to who the cloaked hooded figure is standing over Bane’s left shoulder in the second picture? Curious looking, or just some creeper?
This film will be huge and way bigger than TDK. With everything going on in the world at the moment, I have a feeling that this film will be bigger as it will capture peoples current mood with the civil unrest angle. It has a fan base because of Batman, but I suspect that the script will elevate it beyond this, as some of the most successful films capitalise on the mood of the moment. TDKR will be a true event film to be savoured.

“In Nolan I Trust” when it comes down to it, those words always come to mind. To me it’s going to be great because I trust Nolan. I think he knows how to end it the right way. people need to realize bane will look bigger in the movie, alot of people don’t know that Stallone is only 5’6 and in all of his movies you would think he’s at least 6’2 maybe 6’3… So I’m not worried about the size of bane when I see pictures on the web, because it will be different in the theater. Anne Hathaway to me wasn’t the right choice, but I’ve been proved wrong. I can admit when i first heard Heath Ledger was the joker, I didn’t think that was a good choice. But once I saw footage of him, I knew he was going to be epic. Like I said in the beginning, I trust in Nolan, he will come through and make a great movie.
This big street chaos with crazy Arkum inmates or other rebels number must be the 3rd act of the film. It looks kinda cheesy though, add on the flying Bat hover plane. People are saying trust Nolan. We all trusted Sam Raimi and had no idea what was coming with that abortion that was Spiderman 3.
Good point SJP, but Raimi has not delivered as consistently critically or commercially as Nolan has (compare there film average takings on boxofficemojo). Also just look at Army of Darkness versus Evil Dead 2, again with the spidey films he peaked with the second movie. Nolan is out to show the 3rd in a trilogy can be the best.
