The new and third trailer for The Dark Knight Rises is now online and can be viewed with our player below. The much-anticipated new trailer for the July 20th, 2012 blockbuster was unlocked by the latest viral campaign that kicked off yesterday and was completed much quicker than previous campaigns in the past.
We hadn’t expected the new trailer to be online for another week as we thought it was debuting with Marvel’s ‘The Avengers’ screenings in the US (which opens this Friday) but I guess Warner Bros have decided that there’s no point giving them any more cash than the mammoth they are going to take anyway and on this occasion they can just reap the benefits of the trailer reveal themselves. They still obviously get the benefit of those seeing The Avengers on the big screen seeing their trailer but you have to imagine that all those who going specifically for the trailer reveal (and I imagine that audience to be fair would be slim) will now see it online.
Anyway here’s the new trailer. I love how it opens with a sadness and melancholic score before rising to something much more triumphant. This film just looks more and more like an amazing final entry to a magnificent saga.
Watch it below and do tell us what you think…
My only concern with the trailer? Anne Hathaway’s Catwoman. I’m not keen on the glimpses of the character portrayal or her over-acting the role but it is early days and all I am judging that on is glimpses. She looks damn fine in the suit which will probably distract me from any of these niggles anyway.
I can’t wait to see more of Tom Hardy’s Bane however.
Chris Nolan’s third and final Batman movie will hit cinemas and IMAX cinemas on July 20th, 2012. Do tell us what you think of the new trailer below.

I may have just had a crisis.
i actually only have on concern myself.
banes voice SOUNDS tampered with now doesn’t it? Sounds like its been overdubbed or something
might just be me
the voice is kinda off, i mean how hard can it be to jus speak clearly, and no one noticed, but overall, everything i expected the finale to be, simply amazing…anyways
Every human being would like to know the answer to atleast 1 of the 3 questions below!
Have you ever wondered…
…isn’t there more to life?
…is death really the end?
…do I not have a greater purpose in life?

I agree about the voice. It really stands out, especially the line “Gotham’s reckoning”. I hope they haven’t messed with it, as I had no real problem with the snippets of dialogue in the previous trailers.
The voice in the Prologue did sound muffled, but the versions I watched on Youtube were of such poor quality that I could barely make out sections of Aiden Gillen’s dialogue either!
I’m concerned that this is now going to stand out like the appalling overdubbing they used to do in films like Hard Boiled- it can really put you off the film.
However, I don’t notice anything wrong with Batman’s voice in previous films, which other people find totally hilarious.
Perhaps I am simply over analysing this!
