THE DARK KNIGHT RISES To Film In Pittsburgh

Chris Nolanhas announced that The Dark Knight Rises will film in Pittsburgh this summer, presumably replacing Chicago for tax purposes. This saddens me a little as I'm all for continuity and The Windy city has served the director well as his surrogate Gotham. Having said that, there didn't seem to be much, if any, repeated locations between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight and Pittsburgh certainly looks Gotham-ish to me.
"Pittsburgh is a beautiful city," said director Chris Nolan. "We have been able to find everything we were looking for here, and I am excited to spend the summer in Pittsburgh with our final installment of Batman."
Jett at BOF says filming in Pittsburgh will last 4 to 6 weeks. The Dark Knight Rises, the final part of Nolan's trilogy will begin shooting next month for a release on July 20th, 2012. Christian Bale (Batman), Michael Caine (Alfred), Anne Hathaway (Catwoman), Tom Hardy (Bane), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (who knows?), Marion Cotillard (presumably Talia), Juno Temple (Holly Robinson?) star, with Morgan Freeman (Lucius Fox) likely to return.
